After a 3 year-effort by the Chief of the Movement-Cell at the MILENG COE the ``Route& Area Clearance Capabilities within NATO - Threat Analysis and Detection Capabilities on Route Clearance`` booklet has been finished. This booklet is an addition to our ADL Course 221: “Mobility Staff Awareness and Planning Course”. This course can be followed on the JADL NATO e-Learning platform but the booklet can also be downloaded from the MILENG Download – section on our Knowledge Portal.
It is a 116 pages PDF-Report that is intended to give an Overview of Threat, Technologies and Capabilities to help these three target groups:
- First one is military specialists who are and will be serving in RC missions on either tactical or strategical level now and then. While tactical level covers duties on the field in general, strategic ones are mostly in NATO or national HQs. We think that walking through the chapters of this study, staff of each level will find something relevant to its routine business.
- Second target group includes researchers in academic and government institutions who dedicate their time and energy to look for alternative ways to create new solutions to the threat by employing different techniques for the constantly changing environment.
- Third group consists of the people working in MILENG industry. These people are the main actors helping both military and academic specialists to turn their dreams into the reality. The more they understand and identify the current problems to improve future requirements the more improved solutions we expect to see in the future.
