On 20-22 Nov 2024 the 27th EPWG took place in NATO HQ. 

​Thi​s edition also included the EPWG 25th anniversary event: "Challenges and opportunities for NATO related to Environmental Protection, Climate Change, and Energy Transition". 

In 1999 the EPWG was formally installed under the Air Standardisation Board of the Military Committee, and is currently situated under the Military Committee Joint Standardisation Board. It is the only formal NATO committee tasked to work on Environmental Protection (EP). 

5 COEs were represented at this instance of th WG: MILENG COE, ENSEC COE, CCASCOE, CIMIC-COE, CMDR COE. 

At the work group, the MILENG COE representative informed all EPWG participants about the ongoing preliminary works conducted at the MILENG COE, with regards to Advanced Distributed Learning Course 033 (ADL 033) - Introction to Environmental Protection.​
